What I did:
- Bug fixing
- Porting features from
Java Edition
- Optimizing for Mobile
- Developing new gameplay features for minecraft
For the first year I was responsible for shipping updates to the Google Play Store
and the Apple Appstore
(later followed by other flavors such as Amazon Fire TV, Samgsung Gear VR and Windows Phone.)
Not long after we were joined by Microsoft’s efforts to make the product into what is now known as Minecraft Bedrock Edition
which added support for:
- Windows 10 & UWP
- XBox 1 and Series
- PS4
- Nintendo Switch
- the kitchen sink
Engine and tools:
- Custom C++ framework initially supposed to support minecraft on the
Sony Experia Play
- Visual Studio
